Cascade Land Conservancy's Cascade Agenda Cities Program invites you to Taking Action in Tukwila: How to Shape the Future of Your Community, a free 2-hour workshop on how citizens can effectively participate in the land use process.  This event will help you become a well-informed, well-organized, and well-prepared citizen who is ready to participate in local decision-making process and guide local neighborhoods toward a complete, compact and connected future.

The interactive evening session will provide a brief overview of the Cascade Agenda vision of protecting our lands by focusing well-designed growth in cities. We will discuss growth management goals, key players and typical stages in the planning process. Building on this knowledge, we will focus on how to effectively participate at each stage, create strong messages and advocate for the long-range vision of the neighborhood. We will then establish a network of area residents interested in improving the quality of life in their neighborhoods along the Cascade Agenda vision.

Time: 6:30-9:00pm, Thursday, January 21st

Place: University of Phoenix Tukwila Learning Center, 7100 Fort Dent Way, Suite 100. (Get directions here.)

Please RSVP through this simple form online or to Skye Schell at skyes@cascadeland.org.
